How do I upload a signature image?

Last Updated: Mar 06, 2017 07:37PM CST

If you have a handwritten signature saved as an image such as a JPEG or PNG file, here's how to upload it to your DocHub account:

  1. Upload or open any document.
  2. Click on the Sign menu or go to https://dochub.com/settings/signatures and choose Create Signature.
  3. Click on the Upload Image tab.
  4. Click on Choose File.
  5. Choose the file on your computer and click on Choose.

You'll then see a confirmation message that says "New signature saved successfully" and see the new signature as a choice in the Sign menu. To add a signature to a document, simply click on it and drag it from the Sign menu and drop it anywhere on your document. Once added, you can still move it anywhere on your document by dragging the blue bar above it and resize it by clicking on the lower right corner of the signature window.

DocHub also lets you create signatures without having a pre-saved image of your signature. For many legal situations, an S-Signature with your full name typed and surrounded by forward slashes (i.e. /John Hancock/) is just as legally binding as a signature image. You'll find that pre-formatted // option in the Create Signature window on the Type tab along with some fancy font options that resemble a hand drawn signature. You'll also see tabs for Phone and Draw where you can draw a signature on your computer or smart phone with your finger, mouse, or stylus.
